Garry's Mod

Garry's Mod is a Source engine mod turned game created by Garry Newman.

Garry's Mod 9 was the final free release of the mod, although three further patches were released for Facepunch Forums Gold Members (gmod_geta_001.zip, gmod_geta_002.zip and gmod_geta_003.zip).

In July 2025 it was announced that dav0r, the creator of the toolgun, had died (https://www.pcgamer.com/modder-dav0r-creator-of-the-iconic-garrys-mod-toolgun-has-died/). A toolgun v2 had been created and posted on his ArtStation: https://dav0r.artstation.com/projects/5BJxZg).

In July 2025 it was announced that Garry's Mod would ship with Counter-Strike: Source content (https://old.reddit.com/r/gmod/comments/1lpb6w6/garrys_mod_will_now_come_with_counter_strike/).
